PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE

LAST UPDATE:  October 1, 2016

As used herein, “Site” refer to www.the7sisters.com (including, without limitation, versions of the Site accessed through tablets, wireless and/or mobile devices and sites designed to be accessed by browsers using Wireless Application Protocol) and other sites on the World Wide Web originating in the United States which are owned and/or operated by Seven Sisters Productions LLC (hereinafter “SSP”).  By using this Site, you indicate your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you are not permitted to access this Site, and you should not do so.

SSP reserves the right to change or otherwise update this Privacy Policy at any time. Such changes or updates are effective immediately after SSP gives notice of the change or update, which SSP may do by posting on this Site, by e-mail, and/or by any other means which provides reasonable notice. Your use of this Site after such notice is posted means that you accept these changes or updates.

SSP understands and respects your desire for privacy. To that end, we would like you to know how we use the Personal Information (as defined below) you provide to us.

1. Information We Collect

1.1. User-Provided Information. You provide us personally identifying information (that is, information which may allow someone to identify you, including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth) (hereinafter, “Personal Information”) when you register for a member account with the Site (if registration is offered, including by “following,” “liking,” linking your account to the Site, etc.), enter contests and sweepstakes, participate in other interactive online activities (e.g., providing comments, participating in social media, surveys or games), provide us with feedback or otherwise contact us via email, and when you post messages on our Site; we may also collect Personal Information at other places on the Site that specifically state that such information is being collected. In making your decision whether to provide Personal Information, you should be aware of the general risks of transmitting information over the Internet. This Site has implemented appropriate safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and make proper use of the information we collect.  However, no transmission of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. Thus, while we attempt to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing or tampering with the Site or accessing your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee that these efforts will be successful.

If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses. We may also retain any messages you send through the Site. You may provide us information in any content you post to or on the Site.

1.2. Cookies Information. When you visit the Site, we may send one or more cookies—a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters—to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser and lets us help you log in faster and enhances your navigation through the Site.  The use of cookies is an industry standard, and as such, you’ll find them at most major websites.  A cookie may also convey information to us about how you browse the Site. A cookie does not collect Personal Information about you. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser’s directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser.

We use cookies to help us see which areas of the Site are popular and which are not. This helps us to target ads based on user interests, and also improve and update this Site based on such data as total number of users and pages viewed. This information is most easily tracked with cookies.

A cookie allows us to store the personal preferences that you set during each visit to this Site, which in turn allows us to speed up your future activities at this Site.

You may occasionally get cookies from our advertisers on this Site as well. This Site does not control these cookies, and they are not subject to SSP’s Privacy Policy. Advertisers do not have access to this Site’s cookies.

The use of advertising cookies sent by third-party servers is standard in the Internet industry.

Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you’d prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, it is possible that some parts of this Site will not function properly if you do so.

1.3. Log File Information. Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you use the Site, our servers may automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Site, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.

1.4. Clear Gifs Information. When you use the Site, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our Users anonymously. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our Users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make the Site better for our Users.

1.5. Third Party Services. We may use third party analytics services to help understand use of the Site. These services collect the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address, and their use of such information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on the Site to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. We may use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of the Site, or special offers.

If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out or change your preferences on the Site or by emailing us at admin@the7sisters.com Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or offers.

2.2. Retention. Following termination or deactivation of your user account, we may retain your profile information and any content submitted by you (“User Content”) for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, we may retain and continue to use indefinitely all information (including User Content) contained in your communications to other Users or posted to the Public Areas of the Site after termination or deactivation of your account.

2.3  Others. We may use certain information about you and/or your User Content internally for purposes such as analyzing how the Site is used, diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing content. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor the information and materials you post on the Site.

We use cookies, clear gifs, and log file information to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the site; (b) provide customized and personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our Site; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; (e) diagnose or fix technology problems reported by our Users or engineers that are associated with certain IP addresses; (f) help you efficiently access your information after you sign in; and (h) track User Content and Users to the extent necessary to comply as a service provider with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

3.1. Personally Identifiable Information: In general, Personal Information that you submit to us is used to respond to requests that you make, or to aid us in serving you better.  We may use your Personal Information, among other ways, to facilitate the creation of and secure your Account on our network and to identify you as a user in our system, to provide improved administration of our Site and Services, to provide you with the Services that you request, to improve the quality and experience of the Site, and to send you emails including welcome and administrative emails.  We will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others. We may share your personally identifiable information with third parties for the purpose of enabling us to provide the Site and Services to you, including facilitating the creation of user accounts, the provision of hosting or technical support and to provide other services to you from time to time. If we do this, such third parties’ use of your information will be in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may store Personal Information in locations outside the direct control of the Service Provider (for instance, on servers or databases located with hosting providers).

We may share all or some of your Personal Information with our parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common ownership (”Affiliates”), all of whom shall be bound by this Privacy Policy.  As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings. Customer, email, and visitor information is generally one of the transferred business assets in these types of transactions. We may also transfer or assign such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, or dissolution.

From time to time, we may run contests, special offers, or other events or activities (“Events”) on the Site together with a third party partner. If you provide information to such third parties, you give them permission to use it for the purpose of that Event and any other use that you approve in accordance with such terms and conditions or privacy policy that those third party partners apply to such Events. We cannot control third parties’ use of your Personal Information, and you should check their applicable terms and conditions and privacy policy. If you do not want your information to be collected by or shared with a third party, you can choose not to participate in these Events.

Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose your Personal Information to any third party unless required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the law, comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities; (b) to enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, or to protect the security or integrity of the Site; and (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Service Provider, the Site, our Users or others.

3.2. Non-Personally Identifiable Information. We may use non-personally identifiable information for any purpose, and may share non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns on the Site.

We may allow third-party ad servers or ad networks to serve advertisements on the Site. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on the Site. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content. We do not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent. However, please note that if an advertiser asks us to show an advertisement to a certain audience and you respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of such advertisers for more information.

3.3  Public Forums

Whenever you voluntarily disclose Personal Information online in social media, chat rooms, message boards, or other similar posting areas, the information can be reviewed and collected by anyone.  Therefore, do not post any information that you do not want to be made available to the general public.  SSP is not responsible for unsolicited communications that may arise as a result of your postings on this Site.

We are not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from us, at all times.

 5. Compromise of Personal Information

In the event that we learn that a user’s Personal Information has been compromised as a result of a breach of security, if we deem it necessary to protect the individual or if we are otherwise legally required to do so, we will promptly notify those persons whose Personal Information has been compromised, in accordance with the notification procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
